Gutters for Sudden Valley.
Sudden Valley is the gated community of cedar-sided homes and cabins spread across wooded slopes on the south end of Lake Whatcom. It is about as heavy a tree environment as we work in, dense fir, cedar, and maple dropping leaves and needles onto homes on lots that often slope steeply. Two problems stack up here: gutters that clog fast under all that debris, and runoff that has to be managed downhill so it does not pour against a foundation lower on the slope.
We handle Sudden Valley with full gutter guard systems built for the heavy debris, plus drainage planned for the slope, extended downspout runs and below-grade lines that carry the water safely downhill and away. The clay soil and the wooded watershed setting mean doing the drainage right matters. We size the whole system for the trees and the terrain, not a flat-lot rule of thumb.
What we see on Sudden Valley homes.
Common home styles
Cedar-sided cabins and homes, from original 1970s builds to recent construction, on wooded sloped lots around Lake Whatcom.
Popular projects
Full gutter guard systems for heavy debris, downhill drainage and below-grade drain lines, seamless installation and replacement, and cleaning on wooded lots.
Rain & debris considerations
Dense conifer and maple cover on steep, wooded lots means heavy debris and significant slope runoff. We fit full guard systems and plan drainage that carries water safely downhill.
